Hello, I’m Amelia (or Mimi)! I’m based in the UK, where I work full-time in infrastructure asset management, capitalising on my love for spreadsheets, numbers, and organisation.

I’ve been an active member of the book community for a number of years, sharing my life-long love of reading and transforming it into another way to support authors and small businesses. My love for all things romance and seeing the behind-the-scenes work that detracts from an author’s writing time inspired me to start offering author services. I would love to assist you with any tasks needed, whether that’s admin, marketing, or otherwise, and will absolutely be your biggest cheerleader (and bully you into writing as needed)!

    AUTHOR PA/VA SERVICES

    As an author, focusing on writing your next book can feel overwhelming when there are so many other competing tasks requiring your attention. From managing deadlines to staying active on social media, to all the behind-the-scenes admin, it’s easy to get overwhelmed.

    I’m here to be an extra set of hands, taking work off your plate and allowing you to focus on bringing your dreams to life on the page. 

    My services are designed to keep you organised and motivated, whether that’s through admin support, maintaining your social media, or simply keeping you on track.

    Monthly retainer:

    • Up to 5 hours - £100 (approx. $130 USD)

    • Up to 10 hours - £180 (approx. $240 USD)

    • Up to 15 hours - £260 (approx. $345 USD)

    • Up to 30 hours - £500 (approx. $660 USD)

    Additional time billed at hourly rate of £20/hour (approx. $25 USD/hour)

    Optional add-ons:

    CONTENT PULLS

    Struggling to figure out how to market your book once it’s written? Delivered through notion, airtable or google sheets all accompanied by an organised google drive, I will read your book and pull marketable quotes and highlighted screenshots for you to use for your marketing, categorised in a way that works for you!

    Price by word count:

    • Up to 40k words - £50 (approx. $65 USD)

    • 40k to 80k words - £90 (approx. $125 USD)

    • 80k to 100k  words - £110 (approx. $145 USD)

    • 100k to 125k  words - £130 (approx. $170 USD)

    • 125k + words - from £150 (from approx. $200 USD)

    Turn around time is 2 weeks. 

    Add ons:

    • Hooks & content ideas +£35 (approx. $45 USD)

      • 2-3 hooks per screenshot for use in tiktok videos and reels plus content ideas for graphics/posts with suggested quotes to use for each

    • Stock image/video pull +£30 (approx. $40 USD)

      • I’ll provide a content bank of 30+ royalty free stock images/videos for your book, links included, plus search terms for you to use yourself

    • Full content bible + £40 (approx. $55 USD)

      • Includes tropes, microtropes, and trigger warnings, character and location information, and spice breakdowns

    Timeframe

    Turn around times:

    • Base content pull: 10-14 days

    • Base content pull + add-on(s): 14-21 days

    Rush fees for expedited turn-around:

    • + £25 (approx. $35 USD) for <10 days (base content pull)

    • + £25 (approx. $35 USD) for <14 days (add-ons)

    Rush fees apply regardless of word count.

    MONTHLY PA/VA SERVICES

    Free initial consultation to discuss requirements and scope. 

    • Up to 5 hours - £100 (approx. $130 USD)

    • Up to 10 hours - £180 (approx. $240 USD)

    • Up to 15 hours - £260 (approx. $345 USD)

    • Up to 30 hours - £500 (approx. $660 USD)

  • I read anything and everything under the romance umbrella, with a particular love for paranormal, monster, hockey, and cowboy romances. I’m comfortable with any level of spice, and the only content I won’t read is dubcon/noncon between the main characters. I’m happy to work with authors of any genre, however.

  • For PA services:

    1. We’ll organise a free initial call to give us a chance to get to know eachother and discuss your brand, your books, and your needs. I’ll send you a form to fill out ahead of time, both to give me an overview of your requirements from a PA, but also to give you some ideas of what tasks I can help with and what other information is good to think about when hiring a PA.

    2. If you feel we’ll work well together and want to move forwards, we’ll flesh-out expectations and priorities and establish an initial plan for the tasks I’ll take off your plate. 

    3. I get to work, keeping you updated based on your communication preferences. We’ll have regular check-ins to allow us to adjust and evolve as we go.


    For content pulls:

    I’ll send you a form to confirm the details of the book(s), required timeframe, preference on deliverable format, and what, if any, add-ons you’d like. Once I’ve got your go ahead, I’ll get to work, sending your content pull in the agreed format and within the agreed timeframe. 

  • All contracts and payments will be handled by H&A, including a $50 deposit (to be applied against your first invoice) to reserve your space. 

    For content pulls, payment can either be made up front or 50% on booking and 50% on completion, before the full content bank is sent.

    For ongoing PA services, recurring payments can be organised in a manner that suits you (e.g. bi-weekly or monthly), and any add-ons or ad-hoc work will be invoiced at the time of agreement. Amendments to agreed hours should be communicated as early as possible, with a minimum of 48 hours notice, and cancellations require 2 weeks notice.

    Please note that I am UK based and my prices are set in GBP.
