Hello! I am Even (pronounced ee-ven), and I am an illustrator with a strong passion for bringing stories to life through emotionally driven artwork. I graduated with an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Illustration from Sheridan College and have worked professionally as a poster designer, alongside creating and illustrating my own stories. I work both digitally and traditionally with oil paints and ink, and I’m always exploring new ways to bring ideas to life. I am constantly aiming to create artwork that stands out, and with a background in marketing, I bring a strong sense of brand and audience, creating artwork that not only looks good, but grabs attention. Because people do judge books by their covers, and I fully intend to make that an author’s advantage.

I am a massive fan of horror, fantasy, and sci-fi, so anything along those lines would really ignite my creative flame, but I find it hard not to have a love for any story that someone is passionate about. If you share your passion with me, I will happily mirror it right back. If your work involves a lot of suspension, deep lore, and queer themes, then it’s something I know I would love to create for.
Now that being said, I do have a soft spot for light, flowery romance stories that take illustrations with a soft touch.
I appreciate a general overview of what themes my illustrations would be touching, such as: NSFW scenes, gore/body horror, abuse, or self-harm.
To be clear, I do not have any issue illustrating these topics, I just like to know what I should be expecting.
I also will not create illustrations for an AI-written novel.

I like to keep things collaborative and efficient, so you always know what to expect at each stage.
1. Your Vision
We’ll start with a conversation (email or meeting) to go over your vision, themes, and expectations. I’ll ask for any references you have: Pinterest boards, cover examples, mood boards, or anything that helps capture the tone you’re going for.
At this stage, I’ll also need your final dimensions and format requirements so everything is set up correctly from the beginning, as well as if you have a hard deadline that needs to be met.2. Concept Sketches
I’ll create three concept sketches for you to choose from. This is where we explore composition, mood, and overall direction. You’re welcome to request major revisions at this stage before we move forward.3. Refined Rough (B&W + Typography)
Once a concept is selected, I’ll develop it into a cleaner black-and-white rough, including initial typography.
You’ll have up to three revisions here to fine-tune composition, layout, and type.4. Colour & Lighting
Next, I’ll provide colour/lighting roughs to establish the final look and feel. The number of options may vary depending on the project.
At this stage, you may request one final major revision if needed, along with any minor tweaks to colour or typography.5. Final Rendering
Once colours are approved, I’ll move into final rendering and polish.
Minor adjustments are welcome here, but any major revisions beyond this point may incur an additional fee.6. Final Delivery
After final approval, your completed design will be delivered via a Google Drive link, fully prepared for print and/or digital use. -
I require a 50% deposit that is non-refundable once concept sketches have been delivered, with the remainder due after completion.
All invoicing and contracts will be done through Hawthorn & Aster.
